Brian M. Latuga dedicates his practice to Personal Injury & Criminal Litigation in state and federal court.

Brian became a Police Officer in 2005 and served with the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Third Police Precinct. Brian was selected to join the Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and was awarded the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Award for 82 DUI arrests in a year. Brian made hundreds of criminal arrests, over 300 DUI arrests, and issued thousands of summonses. He has held certifications in RADAR, LIDAR, Commercial Motor Vehicle Weighing, Alco-Sensor FST (the Preliminary Breath Test), Child Passenger Safety Seat Instruction, OSHA Infection Control, and was a licensed breath alcohol instrument operator on the Intoximeter EC/IR-II.

Brian attended Regent University School of Law and graduated 2nd in his class with Summa Cum Laude honors.

Brian worked as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney with the City of Virginia Beach and in 2016 Brian was chosen as one of the inaugural members of a dedicated DUI-Prosecution Team.  As a prosecutor he has tried traffic, misdemeanor, and felony cases including Involuntary and Voluntary Manslaughter, Larceny, Burglary, Robbery, Malicious and Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Rape, Robbery, DUI-Manslaughter, DUI-Maiming, and Murder.

Brian is also active in his community and in his free time he enjoys taking backpacking and hiking trips with his wife and is a certified PADI Divemaster and NSS-CDS Cave Diver.
