The Barrier Islands Center’s Annual Oyster Roast is their signature fundraising event. Not only is it THE BEST PARTY ON THE EASTERN SHORE; by participating, Wolcott Rivers Gates is helping to preserve and perpetuate the Shore’s unique coastal heritage.
The Oyster Roast is an opportunity to celebrate the bounty and beauty of this region. Local oyster houses generously manage the roasting and steaming of oysters and clams. A silent auction showcases a broad spectrum of local talent, thanks to the local artisans, artists, restaurants, entrepreneurs and other businesses who generously donate their lovingly-produced items. The proceeds help keep the doors of the BIC open with free admission to all.
