John Richardson joined the firm in 2017 after practicing for a number of years with the largest firm in the region, serving as that firm’s managing partner in its Virginia Beach office. John is a member of the firm’s Trusts and Estates and Real Estate Teams, concentrating his practice in estate administration and creation and handling complex commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Richardson is honored to have served for many years as a Commissioner of Accounts [part time probate judge] so appointed by the Honorable Judges of the Circuit of the City of Virginia Beach. John was elected by his peers to serve as President of the Virginia Beach Bar association and to the State Bar Board of Governors.                                      

Active in the community, John served for 14 years as a volunteer EMT with Virginia Beach Rescue Squad 14 and has been the squad’s legal advisor for over 30 years. He also has served as President of the Virginia Beach SPCA; Chairman of the Virginia Beach Economic Development Authority and has served on the Board of Directors of TowneBank since its founding in 1999.
